Calorie Counting Can Mean Weight Loss

While I ideally do not look to calorie counting when thinking about weight loss, there is not escaping that if you eat too many calories, you put on weight.

Calorie counting seems to be the focus of most people’s attempts to lose weight. If you eat fewer calories, you will lose weight. The type of calories has an effect like if you are eating lots of high fat foods or carbohydrates.

At least for me, calorie counting is a futile exercise. I do it for few days until the monotony really sets in and I quit.

This led me to find clean eating. I wanted something simpler and easier to follow that would have real results. Clean eating is practiced by many athletes and body builders.

When you eat clean you avoid putting food that has gone through a lot of processing in your stomach. You eat foods that are closet to their natural state. This means it has processing done to it. This is easier than counting calories.

No more drive through burgers. Clean eating means a lot of fruits and vegetables along with lean meats and seafood. You learn to cook them in simple manners that taste great and are good for you.

There has to be some time you dine out. You can learn to make cleaner choices at restaurants. With these efforts the weight will come off and your energy will rebound from your years eating fats and carbohydrates.

Resources for finding information out about clean eating can be found online. There are more and more sources to use as a guide. Magazines for body builders often have articles on this topic.

Do not worry about being perfect. I eat about 80 % clean on a good week. I just keep trying to do my best and I have seen the results. It is so much easier than counting calories and more sustainable.
