Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

For your backyard to have more plants on it, it is good to have Meyer lemon trees. The fruits
that these trees bear may be used as juices and in cooking as well. The Meyer lemon tree
is a combination of the lemon tree and the mandarin tree. While its characteristics shows
significantly more of the lemon fruit it tastes sweeter and is less bitter compared to the usual
lemons and it has also less acidity.

The Meyer lemon tee when bears fruits has a lot of it. Typically as the fruit develops it is green
in color but it turns to yellow-orange when it is already mature. It normally reaches one year for
the Meyer lemon tree to fully grow. The following are some ways to grow Meyer lemon tree in
your backyard.

Make a land survey on your area. It is typical that Meyer lemon trees are grown in a climate that
is not below 32 degrees Fahrenheit or 0 degrees Celsius. Otherwise, you can grow lemon trees in
a controlled environment like that of a greenhouse.

When you have purchased a Meyer lemon tree planted on a pot remove it and shake off some
of the soil that is with the roots of the tree. Spray some water on the roots to moisten it. And
then plant it in a much larger container like that of a 5 gallon to give ample space for the roots
of the plant to grow. Use plastic pots when you plant the Meyer lemon tree seedling, this is so
that it can be easily moved when you need it to put it in indoors for climate changes. Put holes
on the bottom of the plastic pot so that when you water the tree it won’t be soaked in water but
it is drained of it. When you plant the Meyer tree seedling, its level from its original container
should be the same. Bury the Meyer tree seedling firmly that the stem is straight upwards and not
swaying.

The Meyer lemon tree needs constant watering as it has to have a lot of water especially when
it is at the outdoors area and organic fertilizers should also be used for it to grow fully. The soil
where the tree has to be moist and with the fertilizers that one should use, organic fertilizers are
the best for it does not have harmful chemicals. Daily fertilize your Meyer lemon tree or as what
is directed in the package of the organic fertilizer

The area where the Meyer lemon tree is planted should have direct sunlight because the tree
needs a lot of sunlight in order to grow and it is required that the tree is in direct sunlight for 6 to
8 hours a day.

The time that the Meyer lemon tree is good to harvest when the fruit turns yellow-orange, and
since it bears a lot of fruit you can leave the rest in the tree as the fruit never overripe.

Lemonade Diet - Is The Latest Fat Diet Effective?

Saturday, June 5th, 2010

The lemonade diet is a lot like the recently tooted juice diet, except instead of juice it is lemonade that the user sustains on. The diet consists of only liquids and there are specific instructions for the preparation of the drink, which consists of a combination of fresh squeezed lemons, non fluoridated water, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. This concoction is drunk each morning. The only other things that are allowed on this diet is a diuretic tea and non fluoridated water.

The idea is that the body will cleanse itself over a period of days and flush all the fat and toxic substances sitting in the colon. The goal of this diet is to rest the digestive tract and to cleanse it.

Well it sounds a bit too good to be true. Is there a catch? Yes. It works because the user is only consume liquid calories. The weight loss is more likely from the absence of food than by the diet itself.

Some people say that this diet has greatly improved their health and helped them to lose weight, but the matter of the fact is when you do diets like this, you are risking some serious long-term effects for short-term weight loss. Once you stop starving yourself, you will gain pounds like you never have before, because your body will be in famine mode.

There are a few side effects. Headaches (probably from hunger) some stomach upset ( again hunger) dizziness and that is about it.

There are no long-term effects if this diet is short. If you stay on the diet for too long, you can suffer serious problems from malnutrition. The human body was not meant to be sustained off of lemons, water, and maple syrup.

Is the diet of lemonade safe or unsafe? That’s up to your doctor to figure out.
