Fat Burning Workout: At Home 30 Minute Workout Routine For Women

Saturday, October 16th, 2010

Raising kids takes a lot of time away from your workout time. Most busy women these days have trouble finding time to get in shape let alone keep their fitness level.

Well whatever your reason, exercising at home is a very viable way to improve your health, lose weight and get in shape.

What you will need is a step platform and a pair of light dumbbells to create a 30 minute body blast that will help you literally melt inches off and get the kind of body that will turn your husbands head again.

Before we begin lets get a full understanding of the process. In order to burn fat you must get into what is called an aerobic state or fat burning state so that you body can melt the fat off like cold butter on a hot skillet.

In order to get to the aerobic state you must get your heart rate up to a certain range. Your fat burning range is based on your age. If you take the number 220 and subtract your age from that number it will give you your top range heart rate that you should never go beyond.

Bear with me it’s actually very easy. I am 51 years of age. When I take 51 away from 220 I get 169. Okay, 169 is the top number of heart beats I should never go beyond.

Now for my fat burning range it is 70-85% of that number which is 169. Lets do the math and you can use your calculator on your computer by going to start menu. Then look under programs. Go to Accessories and you will find a calculator within that folder.

Well, I need to hit a range of 70-85% of my (MHR), which is my maximum heart rate range for me which was 169.

Remember I got my (MHR) from taking my age from 220.

So by the calculations mine is:

About 118-144 bpm (beats per minute). Not to bad for my age. I need to get to at least 118 bpm’s but not over 144 bpms.

When I was younger teaching aerobic dance classes it was way higher.

Time to begin. You need to warm up before beginning this program and of course make sure you have a doctors okay.

Tackling Obesity With the Help of a Personal Trainer

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

Obesity is one of the fastest growing diseases around the world. It is better to term it as a medical condition because it is a known cause for cardiac arrests and diabetes. It occurs mainly due to a sedentary lifestyle and it can be easily reversed with a modification in the diet and by following a strict exercise plan. These plans are more effective if they are made by a professional trained to do it. A personal trainer charts out an effective exercise and diet plan according to the individual so the person can get fitter easily. It is always better to start earlier but in the case of tackling obesity, it’s never too late to lose weight. If the person is too shy to work out in a gym in front of other members, trainers who train directly at the individual’s house are also available.

People who are overweight generally hesitate to visit a gym to exercise mostly because they are afraid of the other people at the gym mocking at their weight. A personal trainer becomes necessary in this case. A trainer can remove the mental blocks an obese individual may have and will motivate him/her to visit the gym regularly. This improves the self confidence of the person to a great extent and when the person is no longer ashamed to exercise in front of others, the exercise chart can be followed more easily and the goal of losing weight is reached quicker.

Overweight individuals with their low levels of fitness may find regular exercises more challenging. They may find it very hard to move and exercise as quickly as the others in the gym. A personal trainer can personalize the exercise plan and charts out exercises in increasing levels of difficulty. Once a person finishes the prescribed exercise, it boosts the self esteem and it alone can guide them through the tougher exercises. If the individual does not use a personal trainer, he/she may get scared at the difficulty of certain exercises and may get discouraged to lose weight.

If excess weight is the only problem in a person fighting obesity, then it is easier to reverse it by just modifying the diet and exercising regularly. But some may feel the need to lose weight a little late. But they are not to be discouraged as most medical conditions caused by obesity are reversed once the excess fat has been used up. But there are some medical conditions which cannot be reversed but can be controlled. A personal trainer conducts a complete fitness test to diagnose any such medical conditions. He/She then prepares a plan with the guidance of a doctor to chart an easy way to lose weight without worsening the existing medical conditions.

Generally exercises are tougher to perform than day-to-day activities. But it is the difficulty which trains the muscles and helps them perform better. Some may find some difficulty too not in just doing the exercise but sometimes also in the various machinery used in a gym. Benches in a gym are generally made to the measurement of a stereotyped normal weight person, so an overweight person may find it difficult to do bench presses and similar exercises. The trainer will suggest initial exercises suited to one’s body type.

People come in all shapes and sizes. A personal trainer examines the area with the maximum weight and concentrates on exercises to strengthen that particular area. It is impossible to lose weight only in a certain part of the body but weight loss can be quickened in a certain area by doing more exercises related to that part.

Burn Chest Fat in the Flame of Manhood With the Help of a Personal Trainer

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010

Social embarrassment is a common fear in most of us. This also stands out as a reason why many would rather be part of the crowd than stand out. However, physical imperfections sometimes evolve into major causes of embarrassment. One such example would be chest fat in men.

It could be a result of hormonal imbalance or lack of awareness about proper food habits. In either case this condition results in one abstaining from much social contact especially with the women folk, and carry depression along with themselves, sometimes constantly struggling with the fear of being ridiculed. Chest fat is not always an irreversible curse. One only needs to get in touch with the right personal trainer to eliminate the fear, by admitting the condition to oneself and then working towards getting rid of it.

Gynecomastia, a form of chest fat could be due to hormonal imbalance. Sometimes, chest fat could be purely because of bad diet and lack of exercise culminating into fat accumulation. Surgery or drugs could help one in getting rid of this situation. But, the rule of thumb always says that a seemingly easier path is potentially dangerous.

For starters they cost you money. Secondly, surgery leads to scarring that could take a while to fade out. Thirdly, something that doesn’t threaten our life is not worth getting under the knife especially aided by anesthesia. Drugs could always have side effects, which bring dangerous unpredictability. A Personal trainer hence would be the right ally with predictable means and results, which only require some commitment and determination to go with.

It is hence practical to try hitting the gym and burn some extra calories, with the help of a personal trainer who could suggest the right mix of exercises to tone the body and loose the chest fat. One of the first exercises that a personal trainer will make you do is the push up in all its variations. Although, it’s a good exercise to begin with, the trainer will ensure it is not overdone, as fat burning is your primary motive, not building the muscle.

The second one could be dumbbell chest press, in various angles. The fitness expert would ensure that exercises of one kind do not have a detrimental effect on other parts(e.g. the back) by guiding one through a mixed routine focused on different parts of the body. The exercise regime should also be administered at set intervals on a daily or a weekly basis. Physical trainers would make one go through cardiovascular exercises to lose the extra fat specifically the chest fat.

Diet is a key ingredient of any physical activity aimed to shape up the body. The personal trainer hence would tell one to avoid food which has high content of sugar. More importantly they make one aware by constant persuasion, how bad diet could undo most intense of physical trainings. Treadmill or rowing or cycling or bench press would really help if backed with proper disciplinary diet that would strictly be enforced if we are answerable to a fitness trainer.

Therefore one need not wear thick jackets or uncomfortable clothes or avoid the social circuit altogether, just because of man boobs. For such men, the personal trainer is more like a guide to self confidence, to opening up (sometimes literally) to others. If one has man boobs, he needn’t lose the man inside, just burning out the chest fat would do.

Personal Trainer - the Key to Good Health

Monday, January 18th, 2010

Do you after climbing a short flight of stairs, puff and pant badly? Is it that you always feel tired and weary? Do your busy and tightly packed schedules leave no time for exercise? If your answer is yes, then it is time for self-introspection. Our jam packed, gadget infested lives have left little or no scope for exercise or personal health care. With this increasing nonchalance spreading in the society, cardiac diseases are on a all time high and becoming commonplace. Major risk factors which cause cardiac diseases are high levels of blood cholesterol, hypertension, Type 2 diabetes etc. Physical inactivity is a major culprit for all these modern day woes. With the accessibility of gymnasiums, health centers and the guidance of a certified personal trainer, you can achieve a healthy body and a clear mind.

Those afflicted with cardiac diseases, should be very careful in the kind of workouts they choose to follow. Since they are supposed to exercise at above 50 % of their maximum heart rate, it calls for close monitoring of the workout session. A close tab on the heart rate should be kept while the exercise session is going on. After workout sessions, abnormal rise in blood pressures are to be checked by the personal trainer, as it may have a adverse effect on the individual. Intensive workouts like lifting heavy weights or doing isometric exercise should be avoided initially, as it may cause undue strain to the person. Small intervals between each different exercise help in recovering the heart rate, which will be fully beneficial as compared to an overdone, fast session.

Research has shown that, exercise has a very good effect on cardiac patients. Also, it has been observed that it works better than surgical operation. Angioplasties are done so as to relieve the patient of chest pain, which is caused by clogged arteries. It has been studied, that instead of getting a angioplasty done, exercises like cycling, walking have cured the patients of the symptom after a period of time. By taking sessions with a personal trainer, heart patients have been able to suppress high cholesterol levels and preventing the build up of plaque in the arteries.

Cardiac patients undergo through lot of stress and anxiety. This anxiety leads to further complications and depression. When a individual feels stressed, the body releases a hormone called “cortisol”, which increases glucose in the bloodstream and suppresses the digestive system. High sugar levels and obesity pose a threat to the cardiac patient. To battle stress, cardiac patients must do breathing exercises and practice yoga, aerobics on a regular basis to rejuvenate themselves. Also, a diet which is in accordance with the medically prescribed diet and simple exercises like aerobics, are proposed by the personal trainer.

Obesity is the biggest enemy a cardiac patient could ever make. It can pose life threatening situations for a cardiac patient. The increase of fat deposits in the body may lead to an increased risk of coronary artery disease. Consumption of alcohol and smoking also makes the person susceptible to cardiac disorders. Clean habits are as essential in being fit and healthy, as much as exercise is to the body. In a nutshell, exercise is crucial to a cardiac patient, as medicines alone cannot cure the patient completely. For those people, who find it hard to keep up with exercise schedules, should refer to a personal trainer, who would mete out guidance and keep the motivation levels up.
